What We Learned with Jane Iredale | Lookworthy.comAt Lookworthy we always believe in the value of education, whether it’s hosting our favorite brand educators in the spa for special events or venturing outside our walls for a training. This past week we headed to Indianapolis for a special training with Hannah Hatcher, a national educator with our mainstay cosmetic line Jane Iredale Mineral-Make-Up. We had such a fun and engaging day learning more out their products and techniques we can’t wait to try out on our clients!

Here are a few of our favorite takeaways:

Jane Iredale products are anywhere products

Ever pick up your favorite shade of blush, eye shadow, lipstick, etc., and notice it comes with a warning not to use it on another part of the face? Not so with Jane Iredale! These products, made from minerals and full of natural ingredients such as green tea leaf oil and pomegranate, are made to mix and match across your face for endless possibilities. Products like the Quad Bronzer in Sunbeam are perfect for using on eyes or mixing with your favorite gloss to create a new lip shade. This versatility adds even more value to the product. All it takes is a little creativity and experimentation to use them to their full potential!

What We Learned with Jane Iredale | Lookworthy.comIt’s all about the brow

We also touched on one of the newest trends of full, natural brows, which have been gracing fashion runways. But full and natural doesn’t mean completely ungroomed! Products like Purebrow Brow Gel or Bitty Brow Kit are created to keep wild brows maintained or to boost thinning or graying brows. As we always say, the brows are a key component to framing the face and creating a beautiful look.

Customization is key to the new smoky eye

Smoky eye trends have been around for years, but they’ve also transformed from the days of all black and gray. We learned more about the trend of creating complementary smoky eye looks based on eye color to accentuate your natural beauty and make your eyes pop even more. Green eyes, for instance, can be enriched with shades of purple. Another popular trend is creating smoky looks with non-traditional shades, like the new PurePressed Eye Shadow Single in Forest, a rich, silky green with hints of gray.
