The biggest difference between drugstore brands and medical-grade brands? The quality and amount of active ingredient.
While many drugstore brands can have the same ingredients (like hyaluronic acid) as the brands on our shelves, products like Lucrece Hydration Serum with Peptides (a client favorite!) have 33% hyaluronic acid, while the leading drugstore brand typically features <1%. Medical grade brands also are required to have different quality grades of active ingredients, while the others feature cosmetic-grade ingredients, often with lower purity levels.
Doing something for your skin is better than nothing, but investing in high-quality products will make your dollar stretch further (they often require less product per use) and get you better results in the long run!
